VHE completed the works on both sides of the Humber River.
The banks were vegetative stripped and imported material was placed to the top level of the banks. This material was keyed and shaped onto the bank, as an additional, increased, level for direct flood prevention.
Our sister company, AMCO Engineering, carried out works to improve certain blockwork / concrete structures. Resoiling and seeding was carried out when the banks were built to level.
VHE carried out checks along the river and were considerate of the local wildlife, with all equipment using bio-oils.
As works included working around rear gardens of properties this created constraints such as extremely tight working areas and access to the banks. To resolve these issues VHE used small plant and took great care and consideration with the homeowners.
The works included extensive changes from the initial tender but once the challenges were successfully overcome by VHE the client was extremely appreciative of our efforts.
