Organised by Brownfield Briefing, the highly popular event will update you on the current planning and regulatory backdrop for brownfield land development in Scotland, as well as providing practical solutions to many of the current challenges faced when risk assessing and remediating contaminated and derelict land.
Bringing together contaminated land officers and environmental health officers in local councils, regulatory agencies, brownfield consultants and contractors the event provides an opportunity to share first-hand experiences and solutions to many contaminated land and groundwater challenges.
Gordon Wilson, Construction Director at VHE, will be sharing his expert insight on waste management and re-use of materials in remediation projects. He will share his first-hand knowledge in his case study presentation on the Sighthill Transformational Regeneration Area remediation and its place in the Scottish circular economy.
Following on from our delivery of the Shawfield Project for Clyde Gateway, Sighthill represents the largest remediation project in Glasgow and further establishes VHE as a key contractor in Scotland for the delivery of large, complex remediation schemes.
The 12th annual Brownfield Land Scotland Conference is being held on Wednesday 6th February 2019 at the Edinburgh Training & Conference Venue and commences at 9am. Gordon is speaking at 2:40pm.
