VHE University Placement Year Students – Where are they now?

Olivia Jackson was a Geo-Environmental placement student between 2016 and 2017.

Since leaving VHE Olivia graduated in 2018 with a 1st class BSc Environmental Science with a Year in Industry from Sheffield Hallam University and is currently working in Manchester for E3P ltd, a multidisciplinary environmental consultancy, as a Geo-Environmental Consultant.

Reflecting on her time with VHE Olivia commented; “My placement year at VHE helped me attain a job before I had even finished University due to the experience I had gained whilst completing it. Many applicants you are up against for jobs after University are unlikely to have first-hand experience so while placements can be very hard to attain it is essential you take the opportunity if it is there.”
