VHE recently commenced work to reclaim land in Ellesmere, Shropshire, for client Homes England.
The works to the 1.81Ha former railway station and sidings site involve re-engineering of the site to form development platforms for residential development including the break out and crush of historical foundations, hard standings and drainage diversion.
The works will involve extensive environmental monitoring including mitigation for working around the Grade II listed former station building to the southern site boundary.
To minimise fuel costs, emissions and noise to the local community VHE are utilising the latest solar technology to power some of the site office establishment.
The contract is on schedule to complete early November and the site has been registered under the Considerate Constructors Scheme with intentions of emulating previous standards having regularly been judged Beyond Compliance on Homes England sites.
