VHE’s success in delivering sites for development for Harworth Group continues with the works on the site of the former Rossington Colliery in Doncaster.
The works are in preparation for further areas of residential development. Previous phases completed by VHE are already being built on by housebuilders.
The current works include the re-engineering of all the made ground on the Pheasants Bank area of the site including the removal of relic organic material up to 5m below ground. This will include the removal of relic structures and the realignment and widening of the Rossington Drain open watercourse as part of a SUDS scheme. Other infrastructure works include the construction of a pumping station and rising main along with a 400m long 5m high acoustic barrier.
VHE have previously worked at Rossington on three other projects for Harworth Group. Phase 1 involved remediation and earthworks to prepare the site for the construction of a new link road. Phase 2 involved site clearance re-engineering to create suitable platforms for residential development with provision of clean corridors for major service diversions. Phase 3 remediated land released by the diversion of services.
As one of the leading remediation and infrastructure contractors in the UK, VHE has carried out a vast amount of land remediation work on residential and commercial development sites for owners and housing developers. Feel free to contact us now on 01226 320150 to discuss your requirements.
