The outstanding health and safety performance of VHE employees throughout 2018 has been recognised at the annual RoSPA Health and Safety Awards with VHE being awarded our third Order of Distinction (seventeen consecutive golds).
The Order of Distinction is a prestigious award that is only presented to organisations who have achieved a minimum of fifteen consecutive Gold Awards.
The award is testimony to our continued commitment to improving our Health and Safety performance in all parts of the business. Our PUCA safety initiative to Prevent Unsafe Conditions and Acts continues to see high rates of participation from employees across the board, contributing to making VHE a safe place to work.
The judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”
VHE Managing Director Steve Stiff will be presented with the award during a ceremony on the 6th June at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel.
