For the final fundraising events of the year VHE Senior Estimator, Mark Webster, will be taking part in two running challenges.
The Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice have provided Mark with a place in the Great North Run which takes place on 11th September. Starting in Newcastle and finishing in South Shields it is the worlds largest half marathon with 57,000 people expected to run.
If he comes through that unscathed he will then be tackling the Robin Hood Marathon in Nottingham on 25th September. We hope that he doesn’t hit ‘the wall’ too hard in trying to break the four and a half hour time barrier for his first ever full marathon run!
Last November Mark completed the 10k Abbey Dash Challenge and has been training hard since then, even completing a couple of half marathons for fun!
If you would like to help Mark beat his sponsorship target of £250, you can donate to his JustGiving page.
Everyone at VHE wishes Mark all the best for his challenges and we are sure he will run great times whilst raising money for a worthy cause.
