VHE’s expertise in landfill cell and capping works has been recognised with the award of a contract to construct three cells at Greenoakhill Landfill Site in Glasgow.
The contract was awarded to VHE by new client Patersons of Greenoakhill Ltd. Works on the first cell commenced in October with work on the further two cells commencing in 2018.
Works include the construction of cell constructed in two phases with totaling 13,500m2 with a composite basal liner consisting of imported clay, Geocomposite Clay Liner (GCL), HDPE, sand protection and protector geotextile.
A leachate collection drainage system will be installed all in accordance with the CQA plan. CQA is being managed on site by EnviroCentre.
