As an onsite treatment, soil stabilisation is generally more cost-effective than other traditional methods. This is because it doesn’t incur the charge of landfill taxes, vehicle movement and the buying of replacement aggregates.

Environmental
The process of rendering material suitable for reuse onsite, weather initially geotechnically or chemically unsuitable, in itself avoids the need for offsite transport and the environmental impact of the transport to landfill. When encapsulation / chemical stabilisation is undertaken then the impact of the contamination on the environment is reduced.

Both geotechnically and chemically the process of stabilisation is undertaken in ‘real time’ and hence avoids long treatment periods, maximising programme benefits.
