Continuing our long tradition of providing excellent vocational training we are pleased to welcome four new placement students to VHE whilst, at the same time, sorry to say goodbye to three undergraduates who have excelled during their year-long involvement with our site teams.

Liam Richard-Vardy and Rebbeka Lowe, from Sheffield Hallam and Leeds Beckett universities respectively, join the VHE Commercial department as Quantity Surveyors while Jordan Magee and Jonathan Aldcroft, both from Leeds University, have joined our Technology department as Environmental Engineers.
They will all now have the opportunity to work on VHE projects across the UK, gaining valuable insight in to our contaminated land remediation, earthworks and infrastructure works.
The new students are valuable team members who we are sure will make useful contributions to the business over the next twelve months, just as our three former students Luke Ashforth-Murray, Steven Ashton and Katy Shires contributed tremendously over the previous year. All three having been involved in some superb work, gaining broad, practical experience to help their studies and choice of career.
Luke now returns to Sheffield Hallam University for his final year of studies after involvement in projects such as Rossington Colliery, Prince of Wales Colliery, Trent Basin, Norfolk Park, Dalmarnock Gasworks and North Gawber.
Steven and Katy both return to complete their degree courses at Leeds University after a successful year in the VHE Technology department having worked at a number of different sites including a riverside former timber yard and gas works in Lewes, East Sussex; a community sports stadium in Leicester; a gas holder demolition in Wallasey; a former power station site in Northfleet and a residential site in Wrexham.
Everyone at VHE would like to thank Katy, Luke and Steven for their superb contributions and consistently high standard of work during the past year and we wish them all the very best in their final year of undergraduate degree studies.
