VHE Construction Director, Gordon Wilson, will be speaking at the 10th annual Brownfield Land Scotland Conference in Edinburgh.
Organised by Brownfield Briefing, the conference provides up-to-date information on the regulatory framework affecting brownfield development, as well as practical solutions to many of the risk assessment and remediation challenges associated with contaminated land and groundwater remediation.
Throughout the Conference there will be an emphasis on actionable guidance specifically applicable to the brownfield agenda in Scotland. The one day event brings together representatives from regulators, consultants and industry to provide first-hand advice to meet specific challenges.
As VHE are currently undertaking the £11 million remediation of the 50 Hectare Sighthill Transformational Regeneration Area project for Glasgow City Council, Gordon will be giving first-hand insight into the design and build contract and how we are dealing with contamination by employing various remediation techniques including stabilisation and containment.
Following on from our delivery of the Shawfield Project for Clyde Gateway, Sighthill represents the largest remediation project in Glasgow and further establishes VHE as a key contractor in Scotland for the delivery of large, complex remediation schemes.
The Conference is being held on Wednesday 1st February 2017 at The Place, York Place, Edinburgh and commences at 9am. Book your place and download a programme here.
