VHE have recently procured two new Leica GS08+ GPS kits for our engineering team. A great advantage of this new equipment is its use of multiple satellite networks, this ensures good coverage throughout the working day and it also means start-up time is reduced.

Multiple networks also allows for the ability to work closer to buildings and tree canopies, reducing the requirement for a traditional surveying via Total Station (Theodolite), which can be more time consuming.
The built-in 2MP camera allows photos to be taken during surveys or setting out. These photos can be annotated in the field, via the controller, and can be attached to a specific surveyed point or saved with a GPS position tag. This is a useful reference tool whilst processing complicated surveys.
