We are delighted to announce that Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer, Gemma Hickingbotham, has been validated as a Chartered Geologist by the Geological Society.
We are delighted to announce that Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer, Gemma Hickingbotham, has been validated as a Chartered Geologist by the Geological Society.
Gemma joined VHE in February 2019 to provide geotechnical and environmental advice on reclamation and remediation projects working closely with VHE’s Senior Leadership teams in the delivery of tender opportunities and live projects.
The appointment to Chartered Geologist was timed perfectly as yesterday VHE celebrated Women In Engineering Day. Only 12% of all UK engineers are women and it is important to attract women into the industry. With this in mind, in May 2019 Gemma became a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) ambassador committed to offering her time, knowledge and enthusiasm to help bring learning to life for young people and demonstrate the value of STEM in life and careers.
At VHE we foster an environment that encourages professional development and have a number of employees who have achieved Chartered status in their relevant institutions.
We look forward to celebrating future achievements by our dedicated employees!
