It has been a very busy couple of months for VHE with both Achilles UVDB Verify and BSI carrying out external audits on the company both on site and at Head Office in Barnsley.
The management system evaluation by Achilles consisted of a review of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Occupational Health and Safety Management System (BS OHSAS 18001) and the Companies Corporate Social Responsibility Policies against a set of standard audit questions.
The Company performed extremely well across the board scoring especially highly in Environment – 96% and Health and Safety – 98%.
Following further audit at our gas holder demolition project in Barnsley, outstanding scores were again awarded in Environment – 100% and Health and Safety – 99%.
BSI carried out their site assessment at the Wallasey Gas Holder Demolition Project and heaped nothing but praise on the way the contract risks and controls were being managed at all levels. To quote from the report “The site staff are well supported by the visiting SHEQ team members and regular system updates are implemented to incorporate continuous improvement initiatives.” BSI were pleased to recommend the continuation of the company’s certification.
Over the two days of the audit not a single issue was raised. This is a testament to the hard work and effort expended not only by the office and site teams who assisted during the audit but to all employees over the past three years.
