VHE Support Barnsley Hospice

Barnsley Hospice, located on Church Street, less than a kilometre away from the VHE Head Office on Whaley Road, is reliant on charitable donations and every year need to raise some £2million to continue to deliver and maintain the vital core services they provide to patients and their families, often at the most difficult of times.

Barnsley Hospice is a charity which provides specialist compassionate care to hundreds of people across the Barnsley borough every year. Specialist palliative care provides help and support to people with active and progressive life-limiting illnesses. This care strives to improve quality of life for patients and their families by providing pain and symptom relief, spiritual and social support, practical and financial advice; and counselling and bereavement services.

VHE have a history of supporting similar local charities and have contributed well over £100,000 in the last few years through the efforts and generosity of our staff, family, friends and extended business networks and are hoping to make this year the most successful so far.
