VHE have enjoyed a successful year so far in relation to inter-company trading with AMCO, working on both engineering and rail related projects.
We have successfully completed five projects including the Hunstanton works on the East Coast of England and rail related earthworks and civil engineering on the fast track Trinity Lane footbridge project, site preparation works for the new bridge at Lincoln and restoration/landscaping works at Acton and Stockley in North London and are currently working on an earthworks project in Hesketh near Lancashire.
The earthworks are being carried out to form a new habitat to attract wildlife back into the estuary and improve the existing flood defence embankment (completed in phase one) prior to allowing the area to be subject to tidal inundation by breaching the outer defence flood embankment. The project was divided into three phases with this package of works being the third and final phase. The main works VHE undertook included;
The site includes land owned by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, Natural England and longstanding VHE client, the Environment Agency. Throughout the works VHE liaised with the client and the family who farm the local fields and whose sheep graze on the perimeter bund to manage safe access across a nearby road track for construction plant and allow safe access to the family’s farm machinery and livestock to the out marsh.
The project commenced in March and is due to complete at the end of August 2017.
