VHE have recently returned to Greenoakhill landfill in Glasgow to construct waste cells 9 and 10. The works follow on from the successful completion of cell 8 in 2017.
VHE have recently returned to Greenoakhill landfill in Glasgow to construct waste cells 9 and 10. The works follow on from the successful completion of cell 8 in 2017.
VHE provided practical advice on the surface water system and took part in value engineering workshop to provide the client with a long term practical and sustainable system that complied with the environmental permit for the site.
On completion of the design VHE installed the surface water management system that consisted of rain flaps to capped waste cells, interceptor ditches and a new attenuation lagoon before constructing the cells.
The cells works included;
VHE worked with the client to maximise re-use of materials available on site and minimize requirement for import.
Both contracts were awarded by new client Patersons of Greenoakhill Ltd. Works on the first cell commenced October 2017. Current works commenced May 2018 and are scheduled to complete July 2018.
