Five of our staff are taking on the Way of the Roses cycling challenge to raise money for the VHE charity of the year, Tiny Tickers.

On Friday 2nd June Equipment Support Manager Darren Whittaker, Project Manager Richard Hargreaves, Works Supervisor Mark Nuttall, Engineer Chris Milbourn and Site Agent Iain Power will be cycling the 170 mile coast to coast route between Morecambe and Bridlington.

On their three day journey they will cycle through picturesque landscapes such as the Forest of Bowland, the Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Wolds as well as the historic cities York and Lancaster. Although the views are beautiful the route includes several large hills, the steepest and longest climbs lie around Settle and Brimham Rocks.

If you wish to donate you can do so via the Virgin Money Giving page. All at VHE and Tiny Tickers appreciate any support you can give to encourage the cyclists.

The map below shows the route they will be taking. We wish everyone taking part good luck throughout their training and the challenge.
