Prince of Wales Colliery Infrastructure works begin

The project awarded to VHE includes Section 38 and Section 278 of the main entrance to the development which will feature a first phase of housing development. VHE are also managing the diversion of water mains, LV and HV cables and BT apparatus. The BT diversion involves the slewing and lowering of multiple ducted cables including fibre optics. A new foul pumping station and pumping main will be installed along with the construction of surface water sewers and sub-station.

The works will take place over 2 phases, with an initial phase of 13 weeks and will allow access for the housebuilder Ben Bailey start construction before returning to complete the Section 38 works and landscaping. WYG are acting as Project Manager on this NEC contract with BWB as Designer and Supervisor, supported by Mac Consulting as cost consultants.
