National Grid has retained VHE since 1996 under their term contract to undertake the remediation of former coal gas production and coking works sites.
Since then VHE has acted as Principal Contractor on the clean up of such sites, generating a turnover of between £4m and £12m per annum and gaining unrivalled experience in this specialist sector.
This framework contract often allows for shared risk and reward agreements, based on agreement and management of a fully costed risk register, shared between all members of the project delivery team. Selection is based on quality (60%) and price (40%). VHE’s appointment on the term contract has now been extended until April 2012.
