Ashroyd Business Park

VHE Regional Contracting was awarded the £1.3m contract by Ackroyd and Abbott to carry out earthworks and infrastructure works to create development plots for the new Ashroyd Business Park near Birdwell, Barnsley. Dynamic compaction was used to improve the existing ground conditions.

Infrastructure works included the construction of 550m of new spine and access roads and a new internal roundabout to service the new development plots. We also installed foul and surface water drainage, together with street lighting, all statutory services and diversions.

This project followed the successful completion of a scheme at Handsworth which VHE carried out during the previous Spring for the same customer.
