Land Remediation

VHE provides a range of remediation techniques to enable the implementation of the most cost effective strategy to fulfill our client’s requirements. Using in-house resources, we are able to offer the following services:

CLUSTER

VHE is closely involved in the CLUSTER initiative - a project developed in collaboration with CLAIRE to treat contaminated material at central ‘hub’ sites, which enables the remediation of certain types of contaminated sites.

These sites, which represent the majority of the UK’s contaminated land, contain insufficient volumes to justify setting up on-site remediation technologies on their own. By collaborating with similar sites, materials can be treated economically at the hub for re-use on any site within the CLUSTER group. A remediation scheme in Sheffield, carried out by VHE for National Grid, was the hub for the first CLUSTER project.
