VHE has many years experience of the successful delivery of civil engineering and highways projects. We have delivered civil engineering projects for public sector clients including several local authorities, with whom we have developed long-standing relationships and worked within fully integrated partnering frameworks. Our infrastructure capability complements our land regeneration activities, enabling clients to secure an integrated package attractive to commercial developers and housebuilders alike. This has included the construction of more than 7km of single and dual highway for Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council as part of the Dearne Towns Link Road project, together with the construction of 10 new roundabouts. For the same client, we have built more than 5.5km of new highway in several phases on the Coalfields Link Road scheme, which also included the construction of 5 roundabouts and an equestrian footbridge. For Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council we have constructed 4.5km of spine and estate roads together with 5 new roundabouts to provide access to new development plots at Wath Manvers. We have also constructed 1km of new link roads for Staffordshire County Council as part of the Rugeley Eastern Bypass project. We can offer a full civil engineering service, including the construction of sewers and drainage, new service installation and diversions, street lighting and road signs, footpaths and cyclepaths, together with the construction of footbridges.
